Blood Flow, Hydration and Blood Volume
Most of the body’s water is stored inside cells or between them, with a smaller portion circulating in the blood.
Blood carries essential materials such as oxygen and nutrients and removes waste. To move these materials where they’re needed, blood travels through arteries and veins. This movement is called blood flow.
In terms of blood, hydration is the state of maintaining an optimal balance of water and electrolytes within the plasma to ensure efficient blood flow and cellular function
Blood volume is the amount of blood circulating in the body at any given time. Proper hydration ensures there is a enough fluid in the blood to maintain adequate blood volume.
